Valerie Carter is a pastor, founder, and director of RRT Ministries (Rescued Redeemed Transformed), a Christ-centered nonprofit dedicated to walking alongside survivors of abuse, trafficking, exploitation, addiction, and trauma through mentorship, healing, discipleship, and community. Rooted in Isaiah 61, the ministry focuses not only on rescue, but on long-term restoration and helping individuals move toward healing, freedom, identity, purpose, and healthy community.
With more than 30 years of ministry experience, Valerie has served as an Associate Pastor to Youth and Young Adults, Bible teacher, women’s ministry leader, homeschool educator, and mentor to emerging leaders. She also brings more than 20 years of leadership experience working with people in crisis and 16 years as an educator, blending practical experience, biblical teaching, and spiritual wisdom.
As the Curriculum Developer of The Great Exchange, Valerie has developed a comprehensive Christ-centered healing and discipleship curriculum designed to help survivors and others impacted by trauma move beyond rescue into restoration. Drawing from decades of ministry, mentoring, teaching, and walking personally alongside survivors, she has developed the curriculum around biblical principles of forgiveness, repentance, breaking generational patterns, replacing ungodly beliefs with God’s truth, healing wounds of the soul and spirit, spiritual freedom, identity in Christ, calling, and lasting transformation.
A mentor at heart, Valerie continues to invest personally in one-on-one discipleship, small-group Bible studies, and Christ-centered healing sessions, walking alongside women and teens through some of the most difficult seasons of their lives.
Known for carrying both a shepherd’s tenderness and a warrior’s boldness, Valerie weaves Scripture with personal testimony and practical application to create safe spaces where people can encounter the healing and transforming power of Jesus Christ.
A devoted wife to her husband, Mark, and mother to daughters Jordan and Sydney, Valerie’s heart for family fuels her vision for generational restoration and legacy. She also writes teachings, devotionals, and curriculum focused on identity in Christ, inner healing, discipleship, and walking in the power of the Holy Spirit.
Above all, Valerie’s passion is to see lives Rescued, Redeemed, and Transformed by the love of Jesus and to equip survivors, families, churches, and communities with tools that support lasting healing, discipleship, and Kingdom transformation for generations to come.
